The 99% Spring has announced a Spring Event to train 100,000 Americans for
Non-Violent Direct Action. The event has been endorsed by over 60
organizations, including some Democratic Party offshoot organizations.

The description of the Spring Event includes a list of issues that have made the event both necessary and possible (see These issues were created by the bipartisan Wall Street/War Party; it should not be permitted to pose as the party promising to reform them. We refuse to allow our issues to be co-opted by the corrupt and broken two-party system that has generated the problems The 99% Spring addresses. The Green Party is the party with the history of opposing legislation for the 1%.

The Green Party of the United States endorses The 99% Spring
event to train 100,000 Americans for Non-Violent Direct Action and
encourages our state Green Parties and their members to participate in
this event. We are building an independent political alternative and
stand on our 10 Key Values, which form the basis of strong legislation
for the 99%. This proposal will add GPUS to the long list of signers.

This endorsement, if passed, should be followed by a press release issued by
the Green Party of the United States.
