Bio
Rebecca Rotzler is a former Co-Chair of the Green Party of the United States (GPUS) and served as Deputy Mayor of the Village of New Paltz, NY from 6/03 to 6/07. She was also the government representative to the New Paltz Central Schools District-wide Committee. She is a GPUS National Committee representative for New York and has served as a co-chair of the GPUS Peace Action Committee.

An Alaskan Native, Rotzler's background greatly influences her work in human rights as well as environmental sustainability. She most recently participated as a panelist at the Cornell ILR Global Labor Institute Conference: A North American Labor Assembly on Climate Crisis: Building a Global Movement for Clean Energy, and was a featured speaker at the World Can't Wait "Impeach Bush" Summit.

Rotzler was a founding member and president of Students for a Free Tibet at SUNY New Paltz where she also served as a panelist for the Multicultural Conference, the African-American and the Latino Leadership Conference, the Women's Studies Conference and the Trans-Feminism Conference. She was a founding member of the Mid-Hudson Direct Action Network.

Rotzler is also a member of Alternatives to Military, an organization promoting counter-military recruitment and 9/11 People Against Racism, a group formed following the 9/11 tragedies in the effort to offer assistance to targeted individuals and ensure community harmony.
