Rod Jones is on the School Board of the Mendocino Unified School District. He is the co-founder of the Mendocino Coast Environmental Center and the Redwood Coast Environmental Law Center. He established the Mendocino Endowment for Environmental Advocacy and is a member of the Big River Watershed Alliance. Jones received the 2003 Environmental Award from the Native Plant Society, Parks Association, Coast Audubon and Mendocino Land Trust.
Jones has a legal practice as an attorney specializing in criminal and civil law, including land use advocacy and litigation. He served for five years on the Committee on Professional Responsibility & Conduct, State Bar of California, and was a Judge pro tem in Los Angeles, San Diego and Mendocino. He was a trainer for law teachers and has been a full-time law professor and/or associate dean for 13 years and tenured member of the faculty at the University of San Diego and Southwestern University (LA). Jones has written two books on legal humor and numerous articles for the Daily Journal statewide legal newspaper. Back
