Green Party members are entitled in vote in state-run primary elections in several states. On February 28th in Arizona, Jill Stein won 69% of the Green Party's vote. Kent Mesplay won 8% and four other candidates split the remaining votes. Although major media outlets have declined to provide coverage of this Tuesday's Green-Rainbow Party primary in Massachusetts and state-wide returns are not yet available, an analsysis of local results indicates that Jill Stein likely won about 80% of the vote in her home state, Kent Mesplay won about 10%, with others splitting the rest.

States that are not entitled to a state-run primary are holding their own processes at state meetings and online. In Illinois, Greens participated in an online primary. Jill Stein won 71%, Roseane Barr earned 18% of the vote, and Kent Mesplay picked up 5%. In Wisconsin, the results were Stein - 73%, Barr - 15%, and Mesplay - 7%.

Candidates and leaders of the Green Party of the united States expressed hope that the Supreme Court will strike down the 'individual mandate' section of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) when the court issues a ruling on its constitutionality in late March.
