Anitra Brockman was born and raised here in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from McAuley High School in 1995, and has since worked and lived in Cincinnati. Anitra completed and received an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree and MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management from American Intercontinental University. She has future plans of pursuing a Doctorate degree. Anitra is currently employed at Southwestern College (Vine Street Campus) as the Department Chair for the Business Management Program where she was the recipient of the "2008 Instructor of the Year" award. Anitra enjoys helping others and making a difference in the lives of her students, as well as being actively involved within the community.
Being a single mother of three wonderful children (Janele 12, Janae 7, Jordan 3) has inspired Anitra to persevere in life, and they are her motivation for deciding to run for council. Anitra believes that embracing the culture and diversity, striving for a safer place to live, job security, quality education and sufficient public transportation within Cincinnati are key components to “PRIORITYCincinnati”. If we work together as a community and set our differences aside, we can enhance the image of our city and ultimately attract and retain investors, businesses, citizens and tourists. We must and can do better!
