Terms
presidential preference
method of determining the will of the state by polling the state membership regarding preferences for president. The Green Party has 6 state-run primaries (Illinois, California, Massachusetts, Washington D.C., West Virginia and Arkansas). Other states send mail ballots to their membership. Some states use a system of local caucuses.
